Acer V17 Nitro, gaming computers with 3D scanner

Acer has unveiled several new laptops at CES Las Vegas 2015. We have the convertible series R13, the removing hidden network adapter Acer Aspire S7, the new Acer Aspire V17 Nitro for players and even an unprecedented Chromebook from, the Acer 15 inch Chromebook 15.

The Aspire R13 are computer convertible (which become tablet if necessary) thin and light (1.5 Kg, 1.8 cm) equipped with a 13.3-inch display (2560 x 1440 or 1920 x 1080) that can rotate 180 degrees. Is the approach of Lenovo Yoga (review here) Acer sauce. These new models are fitted with the latest generation Intel processor, up to 1 terabyte SSD and up to 8 GB of RAM. Gorilla Glass cover 3 ensures a good resistance to knocks and scratches, while the IPS Panel improves visibility in difficult situations. Are available now, with prices that start at $ 999.

The Acer Aspire S7 is removing hidden network adapter Acer (Acer Aspire S7 vs Samsung 5 Series Ultra Touch: elegant removing hidden network adapter from 13.3 inches), updated with Intel CPUs Broadwell. Features an aluminum unibody shell 12.9 mm thick, for a total weight of 1.3 Kg. The 13.3-inch screen is a touch screen (1920 x 1080, or 2560 x 1440) protected by Gorilla Glass, and 2 are installed 8 GB of RAM. For storage you can choose between a 128 GB SSD or a 256 GB in RAID 0 configuration to increase speed. Will be available shortly, with a starting price set at 1,199 euro.

The Acer Aspire V17 Nitro is a laptop "from play", evolution of the model that we tested recently. A notebook that points on the power first of all, but not only: there is a Intel Realsense camcorder that you can use to check (even some games) the computer without touching it, or even to make 3D scans to be used with a 3D printer.

"The Intel 3D RealSense camera," says the press release, "includes a conventional sensor, one infrared and infrared laser projector". The data collected are then processed by the software for creating 3D models.

As for the specs, the new Acer Aspire V17 Nitro has a screen by 17.3-inch IPS with customizable resolution, Intel Core i7-4710HQ (4th generation), up to 16 GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 860, 128 SSD or HDD 256 GB, and up to 1 TB. There are four speakers (8 watts total) for a sound that satisfies those who don't want to or can't use headphones while you play. This product will be available in the coming days, with a starting price set at € 1,299.
